Camberley Theatre – Senior Theatre Technician
Job Description
Camberley Theatre has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Technician to deliver effective backstage and technical functions to all areas of the venue.
You should already be an experienced technician who possesses technical theatre qualification/s or demonstrable experience within this area as well as experience in the management and monitoring of health and safety in a similar environment. You will have a good working knowledge of lighting, sound, film, media presentation and stage management with specialised knowledge in at least one of these. Furthermore you will require the competence and skill to train other members of staff or hirers in the use or operation of technical stage equipment and systems.
Good communication skills are crucial as is the ability to prioritise both your own and your teams workload, calmly and effectively, to meet the needs of the venues schedule. The ability to interpret and adapt designs for stage sets to ensure the highest standards taking into account resources and staffing levels available are essential to this role.
The flexibility to frequently work evenings, weekends and early mornings is essential to this role.
